Google Analytics is a platform inside the Google Marketing Platform brand that tracks and reports website traffic as well as mobile app traffic and events. Google Analytics is a web analytics tool that is provided by Google. Following the acquisition of Urchin, Google introduced the service in November 2005.
Google Analytics is the most used web analytics service online as of 2019.[4] Google Analytics for Mobile Apps is an SDK offered by Google Analytics that enables gathering usage information from iOS and Android apps. .
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is used to monitor website activities, including page views per session, average session length, bounce rates, and information about the traffic source. It may be connected with Google Ads[9], which enables users to build and evaluate online campaigns by monitoring the effectiveness of landing pages and conversions (goals). Sales, lead generation, accessing a particular page, or downloading a specific file are a few examples of goals. For the casual user, Google Analytics displays data in the form of a high-level dashboard, while more detailed data is displayed further within the report set. With tools like funnel visualization, where visitors came from (referrers), how long they spent on the website, and their location, Google Analytics analysis helps find sites that aren't doing well.
Google Analytics
The Google Analytics Tracking Code, referred to as "page tags" in this instance, is a piece of JavaScript code that the website owner puts to each page of their website in order to integrate Google Analytics. If JavaScript is enabled in the browser, the tracking code will run when the client browser is used to access the page. It will gather visitor information and send it to a Google data collecting server along with a request for a web beacon.
The tracking code sets variables with the user's account number after loading a larger JavaScript file from the Google web server. As of May 2018, the larger file, now called as ga.js, was typically 40 kB.
Usually, the file does not need to be loaded.
