The goal is to to run all of them for a server on your Microsoft PC or Mac OS to run with a fully functioning server! It's pretty neat for creating a sandbox where you can make your updates,
do your Github backups or Filezila. Then push your website live to a paid shared server, virtual managed server such as digitalocean or Amazon AWS, and finally a really expensive dedicated
server that you can manage only your website on.

After you download XAMPP (Hurray!), navigate to the XAMPP folder on your C:/ directory. Then click on the htdocs folder. You'll be doing most your work here. Delete the uneccesary files in the htdocs folder to bein with.
